Texas Hold'em Poker

The 2021 Nick Doriott Spinal Cord Society Poker and Cornhole Fundraiser was a success with 16 Poker players and 9 teams signing up to play cornhole. The Poker Tournament got started at 1:00 p.m. The last 3 in the tournament were Arlan Pope, Theo Mitchel and Dean Phernetton. The first man out happened to be Arlan. The other 2 played for quite a while before Theo knocked Dean out to take the overall. Cornhole was cut short after about an hour due to rain this year. The majority of the teams decided to put their entries towards raffle prizes.

This year’s raffle prizes were a $500 cash prize, kayak, shotgun, stainless-steel cooking grill Coolers, Liquor baskets, maple syrup baskets, meat raffles, metal work art, 50/50’s and framed prints. J-birds Flavor-in-Motion were able to join us again this year to provide everyone with a choice of Mexican cuisine! It turned out at the end of the day to be our most successful event ever! I’d like to thank everyone that donated, came to, bought raffle tickets or helped out in any way for your contribution to yet another successful year! A special thanks to my parents and nurses for doing another great job running the event!
